Refund and Cancellation Policy
The honest version: the subscription is refundable for a short window, and money already spent with a state or a partner on your behalf is not, because it is gone the moment it is spent.

1. Cancelling
Cancel any time from Settings, or by asking us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for — you keep access until then, and you are not charged again. There is no cancellation fee and no notice period.
Cancelling the subscription stops the subscription. It does not dissolve your company, end a registered-agent appointment, withdraw a pending application, or end an obligation to a tax authority. Those have to be closed deliberately, and we will tell you what is still open when you cancel.
2. Refund on the subscription
If you cancel within 14 days of your first payment and we have not yet filed your formation, submitted an application or instructed a partner on your behalf, we refund the subscription in full.
After work has started, or after those 14 days, subscription fees for the current period are non-refundable, and renewals are non-refundable once the new period begins. If a renewal caught you by surprise and the period has only just started, tell us within 14 days — we would rather refund it than argue about it.
3. What is never refundable
- State and government filing fees, once they have been paid to the state. The state does not return them, and neither can we.
- Registered-agent fees for a term that has already been appointed.
- Partner fees — CPA, immigration counsel, formation agent — for work already performed, whether or not the outcome was what you wanted.
- Payment processing fees on a refunded charge, where the processor does not return them to us.
All of these are charged at cost and disclosed before they are incurred, so nothing here should be a surprise at the point it becomes non-refundable.
4. When an application is refused
A bank, a payment processor, a tax authority and an immigration authority each decide for themselves. A refusal is not a failure to deliver the service: the work of preparing and submitting the application was done. We do not refund on a refusal, and we say so before you pay rather than after. Where a partner offers to re-file or to try an alternative, we will coordinate that at their cost terms, not a fresh subscription.
5. If we get it wrong
If we charged you twice, charged the wrong amount, charged after a cancellation, or failed to deliver something the subscription covers, we refund it. Tell us and we will fix it — you do not need to raise a dispute with your bank to get our attention.
6. Statutory rights
If you are a consumer in the UK or the EU, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days. Because the service starts immediately, you are asked at checkout to agree that we begin straight away, and you accept that if you then withdraw you owe us a proportionate amount for what was already done. Nothing in this policy removes a right your local law gives you.
7. How to ask
Refund requests go through our contact form, or by post to Founders 8 LLC. We answer within 5 business days and approved refunds go back to the card you paid with, usually within 10 business days of approval. Refunds are made in U.S. dollars; a currency swing between the charge and the refund is your bank’s, not ours.
These terms sit alongside the Terms of Service.
