Payout schedule
A payout schedule is the timing on which a payment processor transfers settled funds to a merchant's bank account. New accounts typically begin on longer schedules, which shorten as the processor accumulates transaction history.
In plain terms: How long after a sale the money actually reaches your bank.
Why it matters
The reason a first month of revenue does not correspond to a first month of available cash. Plan the first payouts as being slower than the steady state, and do not promise contractor payments against them.
